Dr. Andreas Jakob started his industrial career in 2019 at Janssen (Switzerland) as a Production Chemist specializing in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) production. In 2021, he transitioned to Evonik, where he took on the role of Laboratory Manager in Research Development and Innovation in Hanau.. In this capacity, he contributed to various projects, APIs, precursors for the pharmaceutical industry, and excipients. In 2023, Dr. Jakob was promoted to Head of the HPAPI/GMP Laboratory, overseeing the production of active ingredients and excipients in small quantities. As of 2024, he has assumed the position of Global Customer Project Manager, focusing on the lipid business within Evonik's Health Care business line. Dr. Jakob holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Goethe university in Frankfurt am Main and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Czech Republic at Peter Kláns Lab, where he specialized in synthesis and photochemistry. He is also the author of several research papers and patent applications.
