Amit Limaye, Ph.D. is the Director of the Sustainable Medical Technologies Institute (SMTI) at Becton Dickinson where he leads initiatives focused on sustainable innovation, circular economy strategies, materials stewardship, and regulatory preparedness across the medical device portfolio. With more than two decades of experience spanning pharmaceuticals, combination products, and medical devices, Amit has led innovation, product development, and portfolio initiatives with significant business impact. He holds 53 U.S. patents, is a recipient of BD’s CEO Excellence Award for his work in Sustainability and serves on the Executive Committee of the Healthcare Plastics Recycling Council (HPRC). He is a recognized thought-leader on sustainability in healthcare.
