Dr. Isamir Martinez is Assistant Director at the ACS Green Chemistry Institute® (GCI), Office of Sustainability, where she advances adoption of green chemistry and engineering across the global chemical enterprise. She leads industry-focused initiatives, fosters strategic collaborations, and champions education to promote sustainable innovation. Prior to joining ACS in 2016, she held roles in medicinal and process chemistry at Neurogen and Pfizer Inc. and consulted managing CRO partnerships. She also taught organic chemistry at higher education institutions. Dr. Martinez holds a Ph.D. from UConn and a B.S. from the University of Puerto Rico.
