I am a Senior Director of Business Development at Batavia Biosciences, a Dutch end-to-end CDMO specialized in viral vector, viral vaccines, recombinant proteins, and antibodies. With around 25 years of experience in biotech and pharma, I help our customers accelerate the development and manufacturing of innovative medicines for patients in need. In addition, I am the CEO of Syram, a biotech consultancy firm that advises PE & VC firms and drives sustainable change with growing biotech companies. I leverage my expertise in strategy, new business development, and global drug development to create value and growth for our clients. I also served as a member of the Dutch Covid-19 Vaccine Task Force at the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, contributing to the national pandemic preparedness strategy. My passion lies in Biotech & Business: I have developed a recombinant protein platform resulting in the launch of a blockbuster drug, NuwiqTM, a recombinant blood clotting factor VIII in human cell lines, from invention through the whole value chain until global market sales.
