The Impact of Direct-to-Patient Drug Supply Models

Sponsors and CROs are piloting and implementing numerous decentralized clinical trial solutions to drive efficiencies and speed, improve adherence and enhance investigative site and patient participation convenience. Direct-to-patient drug supply strategies and practices hold the potential to transform traditional supply chain in clinical research and clinical care. This session presents the results of a new study assessing investigative site and patient perceptions and direct experience with direct-to-patient drug supplies. The results also summarize the perceived impact of DTP strategies, obstacles and challenges encountered, and offer key learnings to inform future applications of direct-to-patient models.
