Africa CDC is leading the infrastructure development to support the vaccine manufacturing development in Africa. While several facilities are progressing very well with the Tek transfer to manufacture finish products available for commercial, mainly to cover the 60% of the demand by 2040, the supply chain to support the development, is a key area. Since manufacturers need hundreds of different input materials and consumables, forecasting, procurement, storage and distribution, have to be built in the continent.
