The devastating global impact of the present pandemic has revealed the challenge of vaccine delivery, and the critical role of packaging and administration material. The 30-minute talk will focus on how prefilled syringes contribute to solve challenges of the vaccine administration.
This will include a review of the efficiency gains and waste reduction obtained with the PFS format, with benefits in term of the workflow efficiency, dose-sparing and waste volume reduction. Finally, drug/container compatibility issues will be explored along with the suitability of PFS technology in meeting the rigors of vaccine cold/frozen chains storage.
