SafeR(R) is the brand of a product portfolio of safety syringes, drug delivery devices with cartridges or prefilled syringes with one-touch needle retraction mechanism designed to eliminate needlestick injuries, promoting infection prevention for healthcare professionals, waste management workers and the entire community. SafeR(R) works like a standard professional use syringe: One Touch needle retraction upon completion of the injection, featuring Auto Disable (AD), Re-Use Prevention (RUP), and Sharp Injury Protection (SIP) safety mechanisms in one device. The product was developed by Roncadelle Operations srl a company that was spun-out from Medtronics, and is a developer and manufacturer of medical technologies for drug delivery.
