Ciclopoli is the first topical nail lacquer for the treatment of mild-to-moderate onychomycosis of both toenails and fingernails formulated with HPCH, which forms an invisible biofilm barrier that protects against microbiological attacks and prevents the growth of fungal pathogens.
Easily applied once daily, it dries in 30s and inhibits fungal replication for prolonged periods (30 h) showing both an additional sporicidal and antibacterial effect as well as low propensity to develop antifungal resistance due to its multiple mechanism of action.
HPCH eliminates the need to remove the lacquer after its use and grants an improved penetration through the nail.
