MASITERA (macitentan)

MASITERA is used for the long-term treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) in adults; It can be used alone or in combination with other drugs for the treatment of PAH. PAH, is high blood pressure in the blood vessels that carry blood from the heart to the lungs (pulmonary arteries). Since these arteries narrow in people with PAH, the blood of the heart flows through these veins. It takes more work to pump. This causes the person to feel tired, headache, dizziness and shortness of breath. MASITERA widens the pulmonary arteries, allowing the heart to pump blood through these veins.makes it easier. Thus, blood pressure decreases, symptoms are alleviated and the course of the disease is improved.
