BASALOG Refil ?

Biocon offers a wide range of metabolic which includes basalog refil ?. Composition: each ml contains insulin glargine (rdna origin) 100 iu. In-use stability: 28 days/4 weeks. Mechanism of action: insulin glargine has low aqueous solubility at neutral ph. At ph 4, as in the glargine injection solution, it is completely soluble. After injection into the subcutaneous tissue, the acidic solution is neutralized, leading to formation of micro precipitates from which small amounts of insulin glargine are slowly released resulting in a relatively constant concentration/time profile over 24 hours with no pronounced peak and reduced risk of nocturnal hypoglycaemia. Indications: to provide 24 hours basal insulin action in all types of diabetes
