375mg, 500mg, 750mg extended release tablets, Ranolazine is a selective inhibitor of the late inward sodium current. Inhibiting that current leads to reductions in intracellular calcium levels. It is indicated in adults as add-on therapy for the symptomatic treatment of patients with stable angina pectoris who are inadequately controlled or intolerant to first-line antianginal therapies. Ranolazine: •Reduces angina frequency,•Has additional beneficial antiarrhythmic effects •Its effects do not depend upon changes in heart rate, blood pressure, or vasodilation
