Qualicaps(R) was the first to develop and offer the pharmaceutical market a plant-based alternative to hard gelatin capsules, Quali-V(R). Beyond their equivalence to gelatin in dissolution time, Quali-V(R) HPMC capsules present advantages for hygroscopic drugs due to their reduced moisture content and physical stability when filled with hygroscopic materials or exposed to low humidity conditions. They are also chemically inert (no cross-linking reactions), enabling their use for new drug developments in solid oral dosage forms.
