Micrazym(R) is a pancreatin enzyme replacement medicine used to treat digestive system conditions characterized by or defined as Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI). Micrazym(R) consists of enteric-coated pancreatin micropellets in capsules. Pancreatin is a blend of naturally derived enzymes (protease, lipase, and amylase), which aid in digesting proteins, fats, and carbohydrates, respectively The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recommends the authorization of Micrazym(R) in the EU. Micrazym(R) is already approved in 14 EU member states.
