Some healthcare applications, such as housings of medical equipment, need to undergo regular disinfection, which can cause cracking. Trilliant(TM) HC Healthcare Thermoplastics show excellent chemical resistance to common disinfectants and help thereby extend the service life of medical and in vitro devices. The thermoplastics can be used to replace FR PC/ABS, PC/PET and COPE, achieve UL94 flame ratings V-0 at 1.5mm thicknesses and V-1 at 0.75mm thicknesses, and can often be molded in existing PC/ABS tooling. They are available as both natural and standard medical pre-colored products.
