Amifostine for Injection

Chemotherapy: used prior to chemotherapy in patients with various cancers, including lung cancer, ovarian cancer, breast cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma, bone tumors, gastrointestinal tumors, and hematological malignancies, to significantly ease the toxic effects of chemotherapeutic agents on the kidneys, bone marrow, heart, ears, and nervous system, without diminishing their antitumor efficacy. Radiotherapy: used prior to radiotherapy can markedly reduce the incidence of xerostomia and mucositis.
