Motivated by new regulations such as the EU Package and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and PFAS restriction project from the ECHA, the pharmaceutical industry is undergoing a major transformation. Many of these regulations include guidelines and mandates on the design, size, weight, recyclability, and materials used within product packaging and encourage the integration of circular economy principles.
