ColdPound(TM)

ColdPoundTM makes it possible to improve the carbon footprint and still maintain the full properties of the polymer. The energy consumption can be lowered with up to 85%,when the Cold Pound technology is compared to standard extrusion. Due to the energy saving, mainly electricity, the carbon footprint will be reduced with approx. 20 tons per100 tons of Cold Pounded polymer. Not only will the Cold Pound process reduce the carbon footprint, it will also maintain a high degree of the physical properties of the virgin polymer. Our unique Cold Pound technology will keep all the glass fibers intact during the process, and this results in physical properties of the compounded material, which is comparable with the virgin polymer. The Cold Pound process can be used on: • Glass filled PA, PP, POM, PSU, ABS, PBT • Unfilled PEEK, PSU, TPU… (Not all grades are suitable). The Cold Pound process does not limit the range of colors, so you can still get your customized color. It is possible to add different types of additives, such as UV-stabilizers and antistat to the polymer.
