Rapid Agile Manufacturing Partnerships for Union Protection

Established by DG HERA, the Rapid Agile Manufacturing Partnerships for Union Protection (RAMP UP) is a voluntary preparedness network designed to enhance Europe's capacity for rapid production scale-up and supply of medical countermeasures (MCMs) during health emergencies.

The initiative encompasses critical healthcare products—medicines, vaccines, diagnostics, medical devices, and personal protective equipment—along with the materials, technologies, and services essential for their manufacture and distribution.

RAMP UP operates through pre-crisis collaboration with industry and supply chain partners. By fostering trusted relationships, mapping available manufacturing capacities, and establishing response protocols in advance, the network enables swift, coordinated action when healthcare emergencies demand immediate intervention.
